Default Removing Stock Sideview Mirrors

I purchased the Mopar mirror relocation brackets, and I am trying to remove the mirror head from the stock bracket. Instructions say some force may be needed, bullshit, my mirrors are not budging. Has anyone done this before? Can anyone tell me how the hell to remove these mirrors. Thanks Jeff

If I manage I will let you know. Right now I'm thinking about braking the old brackets but do not want to take that route yet.

I had the same problem so I took the bracket with the mirror attached off.I sat on my porch with a hammer and screwdriver and put the screwdriver inside the bracket where the mirror attaches.then I just hammered away and it popped right off.there were a few gouges where the screwdriver was but it wasn't bad and if I were to put it back on you would never see it anyway.the other mirror did come off like the directions instructed. but not before smacking me in the mouth on the way out.damn that hurt. good luck with the mopar relocation brackets too.the cheap spacer they give you is garbage.I had to cut it with a hacksaw in order to get the mirror to seat properly. At least in the end it looks good.
