Default repair costs?

Hi guys, I'm considering a Chrysler lifetime bumper-to-bumper warranty, but need some info to help me decide. Can anyone tell me the estimated cost of repair by dealer for ball joints? How about EGR valve replacement? How about an AC compressor? I'm trying to anticipate the cost of common repairs for the JK. I've already got the lifetime powertrain warranty. I've been quoted $1868 for the warranty with a $100 deductable. Sounds like a good deal. The only thing holding me back is the fact that I can and often do perform all my own repairs. I can handle just about anything short of rebuilding an automatic trans. Still, it's nice to have someone else do the work some times, espeically at the cost of parts these days.
What do you think?

STAY AWAY FROM IT. JEEP ALREADY HAS A LIFETIME POWERTRAIN WARRANTY. AND WHO NEEDS A/C. EVERYTHING ELSE ARE SMALL ITEMS THAT CAN BE DONE BY YOURSELF OUR A LOCAL SHOP. NOT WORTH THE 1868.00 PLUS THE 100 DOLLARS FOR EVERY VISIT.

I definitely would stay away from it, especially if you plan on modifying your Jeep. It will probably turn into more of a headache than it's worth.

extended warrenties on any product are not worth it, the only winner is the manufacturer.

I appreciate the advice everyone. Anyone out there buy an extended warranty and are you glad you did? If so, why?

There are a number of threads here about the MaxCare service contract.

While I don't have experience with the MaxCare, I have had positive experiences with other extended warranties. In particular, the extended warranty on my Chevy Impala saved me about $3,000 when I had a computer failure, exhaust system problem, and catalytic converter failure.

Check your ins company. I have extended coverage from mine. It costs seventy dollars a year. It has a 200.00 deductible

Default Warranty.

I don't like the warranties because if you modify which is the Jeep thing to do, the warranty will be voided.
