because it is---- now they are admitting its the wrong one... so watch out and if you have to fix the front pinion seal ( I hear you will sooner or later) they have the wrong part on file for the 07 4 door jk.

Are you over your warranty?

My diff seals were leaking, had it in twice and the third time they replaced the entire front D44 ....no charge to me...realize it's not the same seal, but it's a warranty issue is my point. Chrysler can get the right part for you and should do it under warranty if you're under 36k or 3yrs.

I just ordered the same from Rock Auto. I'm not sure if I got the right thing from them, since I've never replaced it before, and haven't installed it yet. This is what they sent me:

Is that what you got?

Hrm....well that sucks. I would call them, but it sounds like it wouldn't be worth it.

I would call them. They told us that they were going to refund part plus shipping. What they are saying is that the 2dr and 4dr have different axles?

I thought I would have heard of this before. It cost me 126 bucks to have it done. I did not feel confident enough to do it myself. The trans place got the right seal from the dealer.
