I have a 07 jk that has had regular oil/fluid changes, and 26000 road miles on it. Other than getting caught in the rain with no top or doors here and there, I take pretty damn good care of it and drive it pretty easy. I've had 3 mechanic buddy's listen to it and say it sounds most likely like rod knock and a slim chance it's a lifter. I'm pretty disappointed in Chrysler right now cas something this serious shouldn't be happening this early.. This may break the camels back and I may be saying screw jeeps the 3.8 sucks the fat one and move on up into the diesel truck world..
