Default Rubicon Express Long Arm kit...

How do you all feel about the long arm kits. I'm looking at the Rubicon Express long arm and am looking for some personal reviews on this kit. Love it? Hate it? What would you recommend to someone like me who's on his first Jeep and no significant crawling experience?

if you're wanting big flex, i would look at a different kit. while you can force radius arms to flex, doing so will blow out the bushings and in many cases, in as little as one run. trust me, i have seen it happen time and time again. if you're just into fast desert racing, this kit will work fine.

Desert racing is out of the question for now, the only sand in NC is at the beach. I've looked at the that Teraflex has and watched their install on YouTube. I wanted to get some opinions so I know I'll be making the right decision come the moment of truth.

TF, RK, FT all make good 4-link long arm kits and you really can't go wrong with any of them. if you're looking for really BIG flex, i would recommend looking into the evo mfg long arm kit. it is available in both a bolt on kit and and weld on kit with high clearance brackets - nobody even comes close. they utilize johnny joints on both ends of their control arms and are designed to be used with their bolt on coil over kits which offer 12" of vertical travel on their entry level kit and 14" on their high end double throw down kit. granted, it is pricier but, you get what you pay for.

Thanks man, I've definitely got some time to make the final decision. Still got a good bit of saving left. I've looked into the RK kit, and I've seen a few post on here about the evo and that's something I'll definitely check out.
