Rugged ridge customer service
...just curious if anyone out here in JK-Forum land has had any issue(s) with the customer service at Rugged Ridge....or, lack thereof? I just recently bought from Baseline 4X4 Products in Albion, IN a set of Rugged Ridge BLACK DOOR HINGE COVERS for my new 4 door Rubicon and when I received these hinges, everything was fine until I opened the last box and found two of the same short allen-wrench type screws. To you who are not familiar with these hinge covers, there are supposed to be, in each package, one short and one longer screw. The last package only had TWO SHORTER SCREWS. I called them...and again...got nowhere...called back ...maybe because the girl who answered the phone could tell that I had no patience for her she told me to hold on...some dude got on the phone and in almost disbelief...as if I WAS FRICKIN' lying about being shorted a SINGLE LONG SCREW, again kinda shitty, told me that I needed to contact the seller to have him call over there to verify my purchase and hung up. ...so, I shut my mouth and called the owner of Baseline 4X4 products in Albion (who has ALWAYS been nothing but FANTASTIC) and told him about this bullshit and he so kindly called over there for me...then, called me back and said they were shipping it out the next day. It is nearly TWO WEEKS LATER and I STILL DON'T HAVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the SECOND TIME I've encountered an attitude and putrid customer service from the people at Rugged Ridge and though I know they could give one flyin' shit about me, I will NO LONGER be buying any products from them. I cannot at all tolerate such shit behavior toward a customer from a manufacturer...especially when it concerns such miniscule bullcrap...LIKE NEEDING A SCREW that they DIDN'T INCLUDE!!! I was just talking to one of the other newer manufacturers on here about a front bumper and told him that story which he couldn't believe and told me that he is considering making a newer line of powdercoated hinge covers that will look better than theirs...a bit more expensive...but, if so true, I will purchase his more expensive product to infact get this Rugged Ridge product off of my Rubi...juvenile or not...it's the principle of the whole thing! In this economy, you would think that the customer would be treated a bit better...again, this is all over a screw...mind you, I even offered to send the other shorter screw back to them in exchange for the proper screw...and I was treated as if I were alying piece-of-shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure glad that you again showed me how much I, the customer, don't mean to you! I will only deal with 'the little guy...the underdog' from now on!!! I am so sick of this corporate NONSENSE!!! THANX RR!!!

Dude, i got those hinge covers (5 sets total for 4 doors and my hood) and one pack has two short screws also! Fortunately it "caught" and has been hanging tight. I wonder if i should ask for a replacement?!
Let me know if you get your screw replaced - I'm a bit OCD and compulsive and this short screw that I'm using when there should have been a long one is bugging me.

...because I didn't know we had a 'rep' on here...but that doesn't preclude the fact that I was treated like crap while trying to be Mr. Nice Guy to these people...again...I was just asking for a screw...not to be screwed by the company. I will infact let you know if I get the replacement. It seems to me that someone is screwin' with me (no pun intended) because even 'media mail' only takes two weeks from there according to the USPS who I phoned Friday! ...so, even if they mailed it 4th class, I should've already had it. I typically never 'whine' and to myself, that almost seems what I'm doin' and I apologize, but, wanted you all to know what I've had to go through to get a screw...and I'm glad now that someone else has stepped forward with the same problem. I too was written to privately by a tech from a shop on here who had the same thing happen to him...he too was chastised and has never even seen his replacement. ...all over something so cheap and petty!
We bought a pair of RR tube type bumpers, and the rear went on just fine. The front, however, I couldn't get to fit at all
I emailed them (Sunday), and a guy called me the following day and had me measure up a bunch of the holes - seems that the winch plate was twisted
I fitted the bumper without it (didn't want to put the stock plastic bubble back on at that point) and they shipped me a new winch plate that arrived in a few days. That one fitted just fine, and is still there as I type
