Default Rugged Ridge Hitch/no cut out

I installed a rough country hitch on my Jk last year and just got around to wiring it today with the mopar harness and I noticed that there is no cut out for the connector. Is is supposed to just hang without being connected?

Thanks

Its a rough country and not a rugged ridge. I was just hoping for a cleaner install.

I have a curt hitch and a 4 pin connector. I just loop the rubber connector cover through one of the chain holes and it doesn't look too bad. Would I like it cleaner? Yes, but this offers the most flexibility.
