I'm just curious what the name of those plastic strips you find in place of where the running boards are installed. I've seen these plastic strips on mostly factory Rubicons it seems, and since I removed my running boards I would like to get a set but don't know what they're called. Thanks in advance!

 

On the rubicons they aren't plastic. They are steel and are called rubicon rails or mopar rock rails. Guys on the forum call them rubi rails for short. They are purpose built rock sliders. They won't give you a step but they will protect your body around the pinch seam.
