Default Running JK Hardtop through Car wash

Local car wash has great deal on unlimited washes for $20 a month. Great to get salt off but the wash is a roller soft brush system.

Will hardtops of jeep take the abuse of the rollers ok?

Wonder if the recirculated water of the wash contains salt?

Anyone have problems taking hard tops jeeps through soft touch washes?

Thx.

I'm pretty sure you will be okay with your hardtop. I send my softop through the wash and those fans crater it. But it always comes out undamaged and clean. So with that said, if a soft top can take the blower abuse and rollers then I'm sure your hardtop will be okay.

I normally look for the "touchless" style, but have been through the rollers several times. Never had an issue with my hardtop or any other part.

Here's my experience with this kind of car wash.

I went only one time in it (Petro-Canada in Repentigny)

My tires were too large for the car wash rail; one tire has been damaged
And my rear wiper broke by the big roller brush.

Just be careful with things like CB antennas and aftermarket add-ons, and you should be fine.

I tend to use touchless as well, but that's mostly because the back of my Jeep looks a lot like an antenna farm.

No problems at all with mine! I have one next door to my office and always stop in before I go see customers.

I go through brush was about once/month with the hard top...going on 2 years now. My 35 x 13.5's squeeze into the rails with no problem.

I have a stubby antenna...the stock antenna was the only thing that ever was stressed by rollers.

Went through a brush type in a friends...had an antenna at the beginning, it disappeared....showed up at the end again, not damaged...not sure where it went!

I have heard of the back wiper getting broken, but seems like that could be with any vehicle with a rear wiper.

I went thru one this last week and scratched the crap out of the entire jeep... it looked like i drove thru a forest and hit every branch... I have tried to keep my JK scratch free and buffed out all them as soon as I would get a little scratch but not any more. I am bummed.
