Default Rusty's warranty

Ok, want your opinion on this one. My rusty's shock has gone bad. I called Rusty's and they said, they would be happy to honor my warranty, but first I would have to buy another shock, send them my old one, and if it is a bad shock, they will credit me the charge.

Most companies I deal with typically send you a new one and provide you with a prepaid sticker. You place the old one in the box and send it back.

Thoughts?

I would just do it, their shocks are pretty cheap. I had a factory front shock puke out all it's oil at 750 miles. I was pulling it off later that day to put on my lift anyway, and took it to my dealer. They won't give me a replacement unless I put it back on the Jeep and bring the whole thing in. I would have to remove the lift and tires to do that, so I just have it sitting in the garage... I hate dealers.

Did you end up putting the Rusty's shocks on the 4-door or did you get some different shocks?

Right now I am running the Rusty's on the front and the stock shocks on the rear with TF extensions. I have to wait until I get a new factory shock from the dealer to put the front ones back on with my TF extensions.

thanks for everyone's feedback. I am going to buy another rusty's shock for the short term... I plan on upgrading the coils next year so I will buy better shocks then.
