Default Safety recall

so i just recieved a saftey recall letter in the mail today from chrysler, regarding the front inner fender liners. they say that the fender liners may sag or detach and come in contact with the brake tubes.

they tell me to take my jeep to the local dealership and get it fixed free of charge.

however, my local jeep dodge chrysler stealership has a horrible reputation of vehicles going into their service department and coming out in worse condition (more or even different problems) than when it went in.

well there right the plastic junk that holds the fenders can come undone and hit your brake line...

I guess you have to decide what is more important, the possibility of your fender rubbing your brakes and your fluid falling and you not stopping

This TSB makes no sense. I pulled my inner fenders out when I chopped my fenders and used brand new clips to put it back.

All it takes is walking out, taking a look and checking for signs of wearing or any contact.

What will the stealer think of next? It must be a gimmick. They want me to take my JK in for that, yet if any real warranty work is in question, all it becomes is a hassle.

My JK has not seen the dealer for over a year. Hopefully they forgot about me.

Be careful. I have a prepaid service contract, so all my service is free now, and almost every time I go in there, they say I "need" to buy a new oil cap because my old one "fell off". Like 20$ every time. Now I take a picture of my engine bay before I give them the keys.

ugh! i hate stealerships. im not going to have them deal with my oi. seeing as that was my first ever oil change i dont know if the previous person had just never filled it? i am just going to have them mess with the recall stuff...then if there is a problem with the oil still. i will have them do it then.

Hate to tell you, but the early JKs Jeep made are known to have pretty bad oil consumption issues. I've never had a problem with my '08 thankfully, but I've read some bad stories.
