Default Sahara Bumper question

Hi:
Is the chrome piece that comes standard on the Sahara bumper removable? If so, is it just the black 'regular' bumper material underneath?

Thanks!

Same bumper with another piece of plastic on it.

There is a few torx screws holing it on, but it comes off pretty easy. There is just black plastic underneath. Of course I had the rear bumper off when I got rid off the silver plastic. The front is the same way. This is what it looks like without the silver.

yeah its removable. pretty easy too. just a little piece of info for you too. Apparently they can be worth a pretty penny as well. a while back I had asked the same question if they could come off and one of the guys said he sold his back piece alone for 130 bucks on ebay. look up the retail and they are pretty pricy. might be worth selling on ebay. I plan on selling my front and rear bumper set up complete once the new rear gets tossed on.

I need to replace my back one where I rashed it up wheeling. But considering all the free bumpers on the forum, there is no way I'd pay 130 bucks for it. I might pay 20 plus shipping
