I just phoned a dealer about a rubicon I saw sitting on their lot in that orange crush color.
been there for a while. And I have considered trading my 2009 in.

I'm not completely sold on the color. However if Sahara tan was still available I'm pretty sure I would be buying a new jeep already!

Does anyone know. If you can special order that color. Or if it will make a come back? I know it's a long shot. But figured I would ask. Thanks.

 

It sure sux when they discontinue awesome colours. I got Charcoal . It was available for one year and that's it . I like the fact though that there are not many of that colour on the road , which makes mine awesome !

 

I think all 2012 orders are now closed. That said, Sahara Tan was closed out very early in the 2012 model year. Hasn't been order-able for months.

 

Sadly, only half a year. Couldn't get ahold of Charcoal or Deep Water Blue in the later summer of 2010.

 

Yeah , now that i think about it, it was half a year. The dealership had it on order for sometime , and I kept going back to negotiate , and pulled the trigger on it . Beautiful colour , and now with all the scratches on it, even better !

 

I want to know what happened to the color "Dune" which was should have been the Sahara Tan replacement.

 

So what month do they release the new colors for 2013? Maybe August?

 

They're already listed, as for when they're going to add more if they're I don't know.

Sahara Tan was only open to order for about the first two months in 2012. Same with Natural Green Pearl. Both were great color (as was Mango Tango....which was never available for 2012).

 

I ordered my 12 on 8/30. My first two choices, natural green and sahara tan were both already closed. For what its worth
