Exactly. I have a few but if there was something convenient to slap on why not. Really the hardtop is where scratches show up the most....

Actually 3M makes a similar product that is used as a mask or bra on motor homes.
It is a permanent install and is very durable. I have no idea how it is removed.
An INTERNET search or visit to the local RV shop should get you the details.

It's more of an issue in the winter than in the summer when I can keep a line and avoid most of the crap. I can't remember what I paid for them, but they're well worth it.
Nice. Does he have a piece for the hood?

Any issues with them falling off or losing their hold strength as the OP stated?

Seems like you would have to be careful not to trap any dirt between the paint and the stick on panels, or you would still get scratches.

Anyway, it is over 3 years too late for my Jeep.

I will just camo it when the paint is gone.

Has anyone else tried this?
Talk with Pat Harrison on the Western Forum he is from Victoria, BC and sells these panels for a good price either black or have graphics. From what I recall black is $200 and the graphics $400 for 4 doors, He also sells the hood panels but can't recall on the price. Very good quality, no issues with lifting, Pat and 4doors drove there jeeps to and from the island with no panels coming off on the highway. Prices may have increased this year???

My buddy and I host a road rally and bought a roll of magnet stock off eBay for making the car numbers and rally plaques so we could re-use them. We've used them for a couple years now and haven't lost one yet on the highway. I think it would work fine. This one is about 18 x 8 and stuck to the doors and hood fine.

There is a film out there that is clear and goes on like window tint... A little pricey, but it works
