Well. Mine wasn't much different than yours. Except it was completely stock with a hard top and auto with 4.10 gears. I paid 20k for mine.

Off subject though, you own your own carpet cleaning business?

Yes I sure do....do you? Or you have a question?

How long ago did you sell yours? And where (auto trader) etc?
Thanks

Quick ballpark: Ask 17,500 and take any offer over 16,000

To maximize your total return, I would trade the 37s for stockers+cash and see if you can do something similar with the bumpers.

So your thinking I will get more $$ the closer to stock it is?

Am I limiting myself to a much smaller group of buyers with the 37's?

On the jk they don't really look that big till you stand next to it or park next to a stock one..it's crazy how big these jeeps really are

Thanks for the advice. I'm trying to sell it somewhat fast as I have my eye on a frame off restored scrambler

Depending on the amount of time you've got- I would agree with putting it back to stock as much as possible. Look into trading off your half doors too- you should be up $1000 on that trade. They're neat but unless someone is looking for them, they don't want them.

You nailed it in your earlier post- you've got a very limited market of folks looking for 37's and such already. I'd try to drop to 33's (should net you some $$$ after the trade) and then sell it or trade it in. The mods have to be 'tasteful', not pandering to just this forum but the majority of folks who drive these things. Everyone wants to make it their own.

$15 should be fair to take but kbb may have you start at $17. It's nothing extraordinary but not abused or trashed.

I traded in my all soft top jku with 67k miles a few months ago, even put the tires and wheels back to stock. Got 20k for a trade in on a Rubicon.

If you trade up you can always get a better deal.

parting out will get you the most money... put all your mods up for sale and tell people you want their OEM parts + cash to get your aftermarket parts (assuming you don't have your OEM parts anymore)

People will be willing to trade OEM wheels and bumpers + $$$ for your parts

IMO The bumpers are fine that's a plus. Trade someone for 35's and trade the cut fenders back to stock. You will increase your audience on the jeep. Even most people that don't wheel the jk. Like the looks of off-road bumpers and 35's.
I'm a used car manager and the ones I have sold faster than others are ones with a mild lift slightly larger than stock tires 33's and 35's and with custom bumpers. Bone stock takes longer to sell. Half doors take longer to sell. So if you could trade for full doors even if it's crank windows it would be better and add more retail value. Half doors on the 4door limits your buyers to people that will wheel it usually.

If you do what I suggest and you can't sell it yourself a dealer will give you about wholesale book + because of the lift and tires. But they will give you less if it has the stock fenders cut.
