Default Serious advice/help

As some may know I ordered my jeep few weeks back May 9th to be exact.
The dealer told me it takes 4 weeks. This is the start of the 4th week and he is still showing the jeep hasn't been started...
The problem is my loan offer is only good for 8 weeks, And the dealer said my trade in offer is only good for 4 weeks, that means the end of this week.
Sadly I'm on the verge of just buying something else since I can't seem to get anywhere with them.
I'm supposed to give them my truck Friday but I don't have a ride to replace it with.
Any ideas?!?!?

Have you talked to the dealer about it lately to check on the status? What about other dealerships in the area, they might have the Jeep you are looking for. Don't trade in the vehicle you have until you get what you want. You can probably get them to extend that trade in offer if you push them a little.

Did you give them a deposit on the order? if not , take their deal to another dealer, preferably one that has a jeep ready to go, and see if they will match the first dealers deal. then cancell the first one. What ever you do, dont buy anything other than a JK.

couple other questions/thoughts.

Since the Jeep hasn't been started, the dealer should be willing to work with you on the deal. Whether its extend the terms or find you a Jeep from soemwhere else (dealers still trade with one another around my area). Whatever they do, they have every incentive to work with you in making this deal happen.

second....I thought I read that the 2011's are all done being made since the 2012's are just about to start taking orders. Unless I'm wrong..... Maybe that's the issue? Maybe you can't oder a 2011 anymore??

I agree with 08yellowx. I would start looking either at another dealer, or tell your current one that they are the ones who took your order and quoted the 4 weeks. They should have to stand by their quote and make it right.

Well the terms are that I have a loan from my credit union.
They didn't have the jeep in the exact configuration I wanted anywhere within 2000 miles I was told so it had to be built.
They assigned it a VIN and the VIN is assigned to a 2011 jeep so it should be built.
Since week one it hasn't been changed.
And yes I put a deposit down on it.

can you trade in your current vehicle and have them give you a loaner vehicle until your JK is in?

I can ask, the guy in parts as been awesome but everyone else seems like it's a hassle to figure out what's going on.

You might be stuck if you put down a deposit. I know when they tried to do that to me and it was nonrefundable. They wanted about 1.5k for my deposit and I ended up buying the jeep at another dealership. It wasn't so much the deposit that made me leave. It was that they weren't gonna tell me how much the vehicle was gonna cost till it came in. Good luck.. Buying a car is stressful.
