Default Seriously confused now.

Ok so I am ready to do my lift rims and tires. Going to go with 3.5-4 with 35" tires AEV wheels. Shot Dave at northridge an email asking him what I should go with. My main reason for a lift is some lite off road nothing serious no rubicon adventure trails (even though it is in my back yard). So I want a nice ridding (since it is my DD) lift the less stiff the better for me do not want a rough stiff ride. I would like to stay in the ballpark of 1600.00 and under with shocks in that price. I am thinking AEV lift, Teraflex, or rock krawler. So Dave without hesitation says rock krawler with 5100 bilstein shocks. So I call my local 4x4 shop who is going to do installation and he says that this is not a good lift makes a lot of noise because of the lack of bushings not well made etc. He suggest rubicon express or pro comp??? So now am really not sure what direction to go? He says the bushings are much less noisy with both of these lifts. I am really anal when it comes to driving down the road and my rig is making all kinds of noises drives me nuts. Does anyone run any of these lifts? Can you help me out here? Is I go with a kit that has lower control arms am I going to have increased noise? Should I go AEV without lower control arms? I am not sure what to do now? I don't want to spend the money and not be happy. 95% of my driving will be around town to and from work. Some off road on the weekends. Thanks in advance for your help.

They get something for saying pro comps.... DO NOT go that route... i have some pro comps for 3" if you'd like cheap! lol they are so harsh my back hurts and its my daily driver.

Listen to David at Northridge, he knows what he is talking about.

local shop.... they have a motive for selling pro comps

Wouldn't recommend going to that shop for install either. If they will mislead you over the phone for a simple suggestion, it can only get worse in person.

Getting my lift put on this week and I decided to go with the Rock Krawler 2.5 Max Travel Lift. Also the 5100 Bilstein shocks. Did lots of asking around here in my local jeepers clubs, some internet research. I too looked at Teraflex, Rubicon Express and some others. I use my JK as a daily driver too. I feel real comfortable with my decission to go with Rock Krawler, lots of good reviews and the price is pretty good.

You will be very happy with the rock krawler lift. I've had one on my 07 jku rubicon for over a year now ( 3.5 mid arm/ rrd shocks with 35 mtrk's ) and the ride is superior to stock and I have had not one rattle or problem.

Sounds like they don't have much experience with JKs or they have some lifts in stock to wheel you on.

You're on the right track with any of your 3 original ideas. Keep reading reviews on here.

What kind of 4x4 shop is this? Like what vehicles do you see there?

Thank for the advice guys. It looks like I'll go 3.5 rock krawler with the bilstein 5100!
Can you post your pics of your rig? Thanks
