Default Shaky hood

Ok has anyone else noticed how incredibly shaky the hood gets in the wind at 60+? Or is this something unusual that I need to have looked at? I'll be driving along the freeway & my hood will lift with the wind. AT times I've braced myself thinking it's gonna fly up. The brackets seem to be fine & are latched properly. I'm just not sure if this is "normal" or not...

It is because the factory/OEM rubber latches are weak and stretch too much. You can replace them, there are options. I personally went with the Daystar replacements latches, but there are other options available. I'm sure that others will chime in on them. The daystar latches were cheap, under 30 bucks, and took about 20 minutes to install. They are a much thicker and stronger material than the factory ones but look identical and function the same way. I have no more flutter and I frequently travel about 80mph on the highway.

I tried that but here it didn't work with all the really bad wind someone on the forum suggested velcro around the hood latched and they said it worked well

Glad to know it's not just some random issue with mine. I tend to hear the phrase "that's never happened before" or "I've never seen such a thing" a lot. Lucky me!!!
I'll check into the replacements. Thanks!
