Default Shift Indicator Light

So when I got my TJ, it had this light that come on to tell me that it was the moment to shift gears for optimimum fuel efficiency. How I hated that thing! I shift whenever I darnwell please. Who's driving who here? Constantly thought about disconnecting it but never did. Now with the JK, I find myself always glancing down at the cluster to see when the light will come on - of course, there is no light now but its amazing how I had gotten conditioned subconsciencely to look for the shift light.

I can't even remember if my 2 TJs had them? Forgot all about that light, just think of all the lights that the JK has though. Some times too many? Good old modern technology

That indicator light sucked balls! I found that you could adjust the steering wheel to block it out. Thank the god of your choice they left it off this model.
