Default Shipping a tire

What is the best way to ship a tire?? If I have to pack it in any way, I want to do it so I dont get charged at the shipping center with their supplies. Who is the least expensive to ship with? It is a 17 inch goodyear wrangler 255 75 17 tire. Thanks guys and gals!!

How many?

Put them in pairs. Clear packing tape them together. And put the shipping lable on the tread of the tire.

That's how tire rack, discount tire does it.

That is the best way to do it. Put clear take on the label too otherwise it might come off in transit.

I ordered 4 tires thru the Tire Rack, they came seperately, not wrapped, with labels taped to them via UPS....

yeah, if they are large they will just come seperatly like that.

just make sure to tape the UPS/ fedex lable to the outside of it.

i get motorcycle tyres through the post all the time...
they are unwrapped with a label on the treads...
cover it in clear tape so that is protected...
and it doesn't fall off.
