Just pulled in my office parking lot after my Lunch Break and a guy whom I have seen but I dont know who works for another company on the second floor of our three story office building catches me as I'm getting out of my Jeep while he's sitting in his very expensive Mercedes car.

Conversation went like this:

Merecedes: Where did that cool antenna of yours go? (referring to my 4' CB antenna that is mounted on my tirecarrier usually)

Me: Oh it's in my Jeep, I just got her washed (i know its a sin)

Mercedes: Ah, well you have a sweet car.

Me: It's not a car, its a Jeep, and you just killed a kitten.

Mercedes: Huh?

Me: Everytime you call a Jeep a "car", God kills a kitten.

Mercedes: Oh shit. "God I'm sorry"


So then I go inside and up to the third floor and wash my hands. As I'm coming out of the bathroom I can hear him chatting to a coworker as they are coming up the stairs

"yeah that antenna is for his cb radio" and then his coworker is like "ahh thats cool"




So...just a heads up guys. Even though guys might like their expensive sports cars...they still are all jealous of a man and his Jeep.

 

Everytime you KILL a Jeep, god kills a whole pillowcase of kittens.

Just one for CALLING a Jeep a car though

Meh, antennas are like 20 bucks. I dont really worry about it getting stolen to be honest...it's not like 95% of people know what it is for anyways.

 

That's why he asked you before hand what it was for.......he was probably thinking how cool it would look on his Mercedes.

I've been approached several times by random people.

One time, I was working at my brother's new place when some random dude came up the stairs to the door and asked whose jeep.........he wanted to know if the doors came off, I showed him how easy it was....... all men have a deep manly attraction to jeeps.....

Well guys, it happened again yesterday in my work parking lot (granted it's a small office and lot with maybe 50 cars max)

This time it was the guy with the Blue BMW M5.

I was coming out of the building and saw him and a coworker friend walking around my Jeep and looking in the windows and such. Catching them offguard I said:

"So the guy with the M5 is even jealous of my Jeep! Just like the guy with the Mercedes!"

Surprised he replies "yeah its pretty cool" (and you can tell he wants one or at least to drive it offroad at least once)

Then they asked me about the big antenna on the back of my Jeep just like the Mercedes guy.



Now that I think of it, both the Mercedes guy and the BMW guy are Europeans (I think Danish and Engrish)...I guess Offroading in Jeeps just isn't a big hobby over there? Maybe they only get Land Rovers or that cookey Mercedes offroad buggy looking goof machine?

 

you should take them on a short trip somewhere! i bet you would end up with a few jks in the lot
