Default should i pull the trigger on 37s

i am wrestling between two plans.. i want to lift my jeep to but i am trying to decide whether or not i want to just bite the bullet and put a lift on there big enough to put 37s or if i should go with a smaller lift and run 35s for a while and then put spacers on to run 37s.?

my jeep is a 2 door, 6 speed x.. i dont off road as much as i would like to right now because of work, but i plan on getting into it more....

if i go the route directly to 37s i was looking at the skyjacker 5" lift. does anyone know anything about this kit? likes / dislikes? any suggestions for a kit that is priced around the same as this to run 37s on? (around $1,100)...

thanks alot. yalls opinions matter. i appreciate the help.

JCAD is running a skyjacker 5" lift with 37s and we have wheeled it many times with no problems. He also has a 1" bl.

Here are a few pics.

This is what it looks like next to my 3.5" skyjacker kit,1" bl and 35s. The pic doesnt do it justice, his JK is a monster.

I don't know much about Skyjacker but my Currie lift will clear 37's.
Make your decision here and now before you shot from the hip, it could cost you big time, it cost me.
Changing your mind through a build is very expensive.

Yes, we did cut to make room for the rear wheel.

I put on a 4" lift and bought 9" wide wheels so I would be ready to go to 37s when I was ready which means sometime after I regear. But I am running 35s until then. I would hate to spend money on a lift and then more latter because I changed tire size.

yeah i am planning on running rubicon wheels with spacers with the 37s.

08 sahara... did the cutting cause anything adverse to your jeep? i.e. any kind of leaking into the jeep? or structural? i know it is only a couple of inches but i just want to make sure before i hack up my newish jeep.

thanks alot.
