Default Shovel Recommendations

Hey Again,

After another lengthy search, I still can't find something I know I have read in the past...

Does anyone have any good recommendations for a shovel to carry in the JK? Full size or folding? I can always pick something up at the hardware store, I just was hoping someone might have advice regarding something that was especially useful to them.

Thanks

Jeff

Just a simple little army surplus type folding shovel myself, but if you're looking to spend some money...

I have the Survival Shovel with Sheath from BudK. I love this shovel! It is large, solid and was only 9 bucks.

Have you ever tried to dig out with a tiny folding shovel? I bought a nice full sized shovel and cut it down to fit my tailgate. It takes about 0 usable space.

Get a shovel you can store where you want it so it is available when you need it. It doesn't really matter if it's an all carbon-fiber super-light latest-technology wonder-weapon - it just needs to move dirt when your are stuck or dig a hole for your turd. Period.

...unless you are into the hi-zoot show-off wonder-weapon technology. But for a shovel???
