Shut Down While Driving 🤬
Looking for some help on this issue. While driving today my ‘13 Sahara quit running while going down the road. Once I got the vehicle to the side of the road I tried starting with no luck. Jeep would crank perfectly fine but seemed to not be getting fuel(which I suspect is the case). However, the CEI did not come on even for a flash. After the wife and I sat there maybe 10mins the Jeep started right up and home we went. 🤷🏻♂️
Folks have replaced the TIPM for what you describe. My 2007 Jeep used to do that. Along with sometimes the wipers turn on, the horn honk, and other weird things. It did it about every six months, usually two or three times within a day or two. I pulled the TIPM, checked connections, used dielectric grease to protect them (I do occasional deep water fords, though there was no direction timeliness to that), reseated fuses, relays, replaced the TIPM cover (which a shop installing lockers had cut a hole into the side of for the wiring), etc. The last time it did it was probably four or five years ago, and maybe 100-125K miles ago. Still running original TIPM, and hopeful that my sharing this doesn't jinx me. :-)
