Now when I get into other cars, I always remark about how quiet they are, or how great the acceleration is - even if it is on old gutless beater. Our 2003 minivan feels like a racecar.

1. I do not like to ride with friends anymore. They can have room for everyone, and I still always will drive myself. When I mention that one person can ride with me if they like, someone always wants to.

2. Very hard to stay at work and it does not matter how crappy the weather is. Rain or shine or blizzard, I want to go. Actually, it is very hard to even get to work.

3. I do not want to put the roof on until the last minute, and then get to towel out the Jeep and drive with a wet butt.

4. After behaving well over the last year, I caught myself punching off the ESP and smoking the tires the other day because the stock BFG's are wearing way too slowly and I want 35's with flat fenders and a small lift. Which of course means 5:13's and might as well put in stronger axles at the same time.......

5. The Jeep has improved my 16 year marriage, I so love my wife who of course (is there a crosses fingers emote?) will not freak out when I raid the savings for 15k+ to finance the above!

Wow!!! Your reply hit so close to home for me recently that it almost made me cry.

3 weeks ago, some f**kin' Jimmy John's delivery driver was flying through a parking lot to make his f**kin' sandwich delivery and came up from behind me and side swiped my driver's side and ran into the back of my driver's side wheel. I was originally told by the insurance company it would take about 1 week for the repairs to be complete. So, in the mean time I was driving around a Dodge Ram full size pickup rental. They got all the body work done in about a week, then went to do the alignment on the front wheel, and noticed some suspension parts where bent. It took them an additional week to order the parts, install and align. They called me every day giving me status updates during that 2nd week.....but it seemed like the most depressing 2 weeks and I was just about ready to cry after every time they called me to say it would be another day.

I just got my Jeep back yesterday and I felt like a load of depression had just lifted off my shoulders driving it back home.
