Default skyjacker lift

this is my first post here and my first wrangler. i brought a lift that i regret and trying to work on it to improve it. link for lift: http://www.quadratec.com/products/16117_103X_A_PG.htm

the skyjacker lift turned out really stiff, even though i have hydro shocks:/ keep in mind i still didnt change my stock control arms. will that make much of a difference in smoothness and ride stiffnesS?

is there anyway to improve this lift kit?
also i offroad once a month, and its my DD so thats why im looking for something smooth and comfortable on the streets, with all speed bumps we have here, its terrible. all i want is to bring it back 2 stock performance suspension wise

thanks.

I have the same lift in my JK. It is definately a stiff ride. Mine it probably worse than yours because I have the nitro shocks. I replaced my control arms with JKS arms, and it doesn't ride any better. I've been considering getting Rancho RS9000XL shocks to see if I can get it to ride a little better. If there is a plus to their stiff springs, I just installed a Rugged Ridge XHD front bumper and a Mile Marker winch, and the front didn't settle at all.

so do you think the only solution is replacing the shocks?
have anyone tired the rancho's xl shocks?
how about the kings shocks?

Either replace the shocks or the springs or both. The Rancho's are adjustable so you can set them as soft or as stiff as you like. Everybody that has the Rancho shocks seem to like em. If this doesn't yield the result's your after, you may have to change springs to. These two components are really the only way to soften up the ride. I don't have any experience with King shocks, except they are expensive.

I have the same kit with the Nitro shocks and I honestly think that the ride is pretty smooth. Maybe mine is just more broken in (30k miles)

What tire pressure do you run?

I will be curious to hear your opinion if you air down to 30psi. I am running my tires at 30psi and it's still stiff. If this solves your problem, that's great. But I doubt it will.

Your the first person I've heard that thought this suspension rides smooth. You must have good roads where your at.
