At the local 4x4 supply, they have a smittybuilt xr8 winch for $300. I was also looking at the smittybuilt stinger front bumper. Not a bad combo for $600, I would like some feed back on this winch anyone have or know someone who has one. Or should I shell out the extra cash and get a warn.

 

My buddy had that winch...the first time we went wheeling he fried it. I had to hook up a strap on and pull him out. I have heard other people having problems with it too. Just my :2cents: tho

 

I have the winch and stinger bumper. I have no complains about either.

Just installed my smittybilt xrc bumper and xrc8 winch...haven't had to use it yet but a few people I know have the same one and didn't discourage me from the purchase

 

I have one that you can have! The powder coating flaked off so smitty sent me some new pieces to replace. What they didn't tell me is, once you get it apart.....it doesn't go back together. It's a year and a half old and only been used 3 times.
Wishing now I had bought a better one.

 

I've had mine for about 2 and a half years now. Used quite a bit without any complaints.
