I had the same thing happen a few months ago. Visually there didn't appear to be much damage, however once I started doing a side by side with my wife's JK I started noticing subtle differences. The bumper underneath the plastic cover was slightly damaged along with some exhaust damage. I ended up getting a check in the mail and am now trying to decide what bumper I want to replace the stocker with...

I had a head on with a Toyota Tundra, only going about 15 mph at impact, Tundra ended up being towed to the shop and $5200.00 plus a $500.00 deductable later, he was back in shape.
Stock JK bumper had a scratch in the middle between the fog lights, and the light bulbs in the fog lamps blew, thats it. I'm lucky that my airbags did not go off.
Other guys fault, got the money from the insurance to replace my stock bumper, opted for a Expedition One instead.
Glad everybody envolved in yours was alright.
