I use some heavy duty zipper bags. Separate by type then there isn't too much digging involved.

I use a mac tool tray that locks the sockets in called "Lock a socket". Works great! Here's a link to a off brand one on amazon. Amazon.com: Lock-A-Socket Tray: Home Improvement
