Soft top??
When my JK soft top is down are the bars supposed to be at an angle or flat? I seem to have a better view out of the back if it is angled with the bars of the jeep but it just doesn't seem right... could someone take a pic of their top down and folded right and post it for me. The pictures from the mannual just aren't doing it for me.
Project-JK has a write up on how to put the soft top down.
Hope this helps you out:

I agree that if you angle the bars in the same direction as the back roll cage bars you can get the folded soft top to lie lower. When I do mine the folded fabric and plastic edges of the soft top are restricted by the back roll cage itself. But if you play with folding the plastic edges inward you can free up some room so that the plastic and fabric is no longer touching the roll cage and thus it lies lower - in which case the metal bars now lie more parallel to the vehicle. The reason I have played with this so much is that I am trying to get the folded top to be as low as possible so that I can fit the Mopar soft top boot over it.
I didn't get a boot to fit over it. Was that extra? I have a feeling that I got SCR*WED at my dealer... they wanted me to pay almost $100 for floormats... I went and got my own and cut them down. Did anybody else have this happen?
I think it is about folding it right - each time I fold it I have to do it again to get the arms to come down flat along the body. There is not a standard boot - it is an extra - I assume wmaloney got after or as an add-on to the purchase.
I found one at moparsupercenter and am trying to see if anyone else has been using it and quality etc.
I'm using the vinyl pos that it cam in for the time being but need to get something else soon!
