Soft top or hard top
I have a soft top right now which I do like being able to be out riding around and throw it back whenever or have it off and start raining and throw it up. However I have never owned a hardtop and if i did i would have the 3 piece freedom so i can t-top it on the go. Give me yalls opinions to help ne decide if i want a hard top or keep it soft....lol
I have both, actually I have 3 tops Factory hard and soft and a Besttop Trektop NX, I have my hardtop on right now because of snow and cold but I rather be driving with my soft top everyday, planning on moving to SC and when I do hard top for sale... I just need to decided which soft top I like better I just picked up the factory soft top over the winter haven't had a chance to see if I like it better than my Trek Top
First of all if you feel safe with the soft top(I mean as far as thieves and vandals) KEEP IT!!! I started with just the hardtop thinking it'll be fine with the panels removed ...... WRONG !!!! No comparison to the soft top down!!! Just my 2cents
i dont have a garage right now for a hoist either and it doesnt snow much in NC either....70 degrees today. The factory top just stains so easy and i cant get the mud stains of with anything. I dont konw anything about aftermarket soft tops

I just got rid of my hardtop and I really don't think I'll ever look back. I have a NX now and love it. It's easy to unzip the windows in the summer, I can't tell a difference as far as the cold goes (It's been on all winter in the middle of Kansas), I don't have to find a place to store it, it is super quiet, I take advantage of the sun rider, and I don't have to have a hoist or a buddy to help take it off. If I ever found myself living in the ghetto without a garage, I might consider a hardtop again, but for now, I don't miss it.

I had both for a while. I sold the hard top this fall and haven't looked back. I have an aftermarket frameless soft top and it held almost two feet of wet snow a few weeks back with no problem. It's quiet, and easy to use. I liked the freedom top when I had it, and it is a great alternative to having the top fully on, however there is nothing quite like dropping the top all the way. I used the freedom top on the warm days during the shoulder seasons, however I found myself making the swap earlier and earlier in the spring and later and later in the fall till I realized I just didn't need the hard top anymore. I live in the rural mountains of Colorado, so security hasn't been an issue. I have to worry more about a bear breaking in to steal leftover food than some thug with a knife.
