Default Soft Top Killing my Grass

So this is freakin wierd. I laid out my new Besttop SuperTop in the grass to get some sun before putting it on, and it's killing my grass. Is there some wierd chemical on this thing??? I had it both top side up and top side down so if there a wierd coating to protect the top, maybe that's it... Any ideas???

If you really want to have some fun try putting a piece of aluminum or plastic sheathing on there.

Most likely you cooked it.

Yeah the 130 degrees chemical under that top in the sun is enough to cook it real quick.

First thing I was taught as a kid learning yard work, "never put black material on grass during the day". We used a weed barrier for landscaping that was a black fabric and it could kill the grass if you sat it there in the sun.
