Default Soft Top Protection Armor All?

I know there are specialty soft top products that protect the material from the elements but I was wondering if you can use Armor All instead?
Is there a difference between Armor All and the specialty soft top protection sprays or liquids? Pro, Cons to using Armor All on the soft top?

i tried armor all.. it tended to get "sticky" and when things fell out of trees and what not on it they stuck and left stains. I opted to order the best top kit for cleaning and maintaining soft tops and havent looked back. order it online and its pretty cheap. think i paid like 25 bucks for 3 different bottles of stuff.

i also use the forever black dye to keep it looking black and not faded.

that is a good idea i think I have a spray can of "camp dry" out in the garage

I wouldn't suggest armor all, it tends to fade.

the instructions that came with my best top soft specifically said not to do this.. but after 2 years of use.. it does seem to "soak" up water. At this point I think I am willing to give this a shot.

Ill check out the silicone spray, that sounds like a good idea.

What about the fender flares and fenders? Any tips on what to use on them to keep them black and shiny?

Buy it at marine hardware stores or pool supply stores

Forever black can restore discolored flares.

I use that neon green bottle (I think it is 2010 protectant) for general clean up on black items.
