Soft top under hard top pics???
my rubi came with the two tops installed just like a lot of others, is not really on its just inside, when you put the softop down you can tell that you can install the hard top too. I've just become a junkie
feels good!!!!
the soft top is taller than the hard top. I say no way. BUT the way the dual tops come is with the soft top folded down and windows under it. You can do that and have both tops at the same time. I dunno why it wouldn't be recommended except for taking most your cargo room.
From the owners manual:
DUAL TOP — IF EQUIPPED
If your vehicle is equipped with a Dual Top, you must
remove one of the tops from the vehicle. If the soft top
is removed, the pivot brackets must also be removed
from the sport bar. The soft top was installed at the
factory for shipping purposes only. The soft top and the
hard top are to be used independently. Removal is
mandatory to prevent any possible wear and tear on the
soft top. Your vehicle warranty will not cover damage
resulting from both tops remaining on the vehicle at the
same time for extended periods of time.

why would you have to take those brackets off? that is dumb. I think it would be less wear on the soft top to be folded up in the back of the hardtop covered jeep than left out in the sun uncovered. but, what do I know?
go down to your dealer and find a dual top you'll see what it looks like in person

why?
if you are doing it for transportation, than fold the soft top back and it will fit fine under the hard top.
if you are doing it to drive around because of lack of storage for the hard top, you bought the wrong vehicle.

It is impossible that is why you wont see any pics. There is a frame that goes around the doors as well as brackets that go on the back for the soft top. There are two screws that go through the bar on top for the freedom panels on your hard top. Plus the soft top is higher than the hard top. It will never work!!! And even if you could get it to fit, I dont think you are going to want to put two holes in the soft top to secure the freedom panels to the Jeep. When you purchase a dual top, the soft top is folded down in the back and the windows are in boxes along with the hardware needed for the soft top. The only reason they are in there together when purchased is so nothing is lost from the manufacturer. I guess in winter you could ride around with the soft top down but it gets in the way when openning the back. Plus, the soft top is definately the easier and smaller (way smaller) thing to store during winter months. The bitch is taking off and storing the hard top for the summer months. I can't see why you would want to ride around with two tops on all year long anyway.
