Soft top windows and snow?
New owner of a soft top JK, and while I'm living in Indy these days, my brain still thinks I'm in NE WI. Which means that as summer ends, I'm thinking about snow.
What do you all do to minimize snow/ice accumulation on the plastic windows, since I imagine scraping them is generally out? RainX? Silicone spray? WD-40?

Post #3 in this thread seems like solid advice.

My soft top is just a trail top, so I'm not all that concerned about windows and such, but I'd agree with that thread above.....RainX would not be a good idea. I've had the misfortune of trying that on various plastics myself, and wouldn't try putting that on a vinyl window.

The only thing you should ever use on your jeep that contains silicone is brake fluid, and then only for brake fluid
. I never thought about carnuba wax for vinyl windows but it sounds like a pretty good idea. No clue how it will affect snow.
BTW one thing that is important is not to remove/fold/roll the windows when it's cold. They will crack. By cold I mean maybe below 40 F. Probably good advice not to move/fold the top at all below 40 F depending on the top material.

That's good. What about ice? We have a lot of freeze-thaw, so I've commonly had to scrape other vehicles that were parked outside for the day. (No, I'm not going to scrape my plastic windows. Especially with the brass scraper I prefer to wield.)
If you get freezing rain overnight it will probably stick to the plastic windows but the heater in a jeep is like having a wood burner going full tilt it will melt the ice off in no time. That's why I bought a jeep !! Mine is more of a snow queen
