Soften the Ride w/ 4" lift
I have a 4" ProComp coil lift with ES9000 shocks and while I have no complaints about the lift itself and how it preforms offroad, about 85% of my driving is around town and its rough as hell. The lift has about 20k miles on it so any break in would have already happened. I've ever lowered tire pressure to 30psi to smooth it up a bit.
Question is: whats the best way to go about softening up my ride around town? I've heard EVO makes some plush coils and I'm also considering shock upgrades (bilstein or others?). Is one better than the other in terms of softening the everyday potholes and bumps around town? Any recommendations of which ones to go with?
Also, I'd like to preform the install myself in my garage so difficulty of install is a factor for me. I'm fairly mechanically inclined but not experienced by any means. Are shocks easier to replace than the coils?
Many thanks!
