someone talk me off the ledge please
Pay off the real Jeep and keep it. You don't really want a mini van
and payments do you?
Seriously, in these wild economic times a title in hand is worth way more than just about any option you could get on a new Jeep product.
Then again there's the argument that by buying a new vehicle you're helping to stimulate the economy.
Wow....I see your dilemma it's a tough decision! No matter what you decide you can have fun in just about any Jeep product....be it your current Jeep or a new one.

I just went from the 4 door to a 2 door...
if you have a family.. definitely get the 4 door... I had 2 of them and no family so i switched to a 2 door.. however the 4 door gets you a lot of extra versatility that the 2 door does not have...
the extra room you will enjoy having.
you will notice the 4 door to be a little quieter on the highway and has a bit of a smoother ride on the highway as well...
right now with the way the used car market is, you would likely be better off buying a new one rather than a used one.. knowing what i got for trade-in on my 4 door they arent gonna be much cheaper used than new...
unless you can find an already modded 4 door and pick it up at a decent price to save the cost of lift, tires, etc... then there is the question of whether the mods are done right or not....

i don't know why, but i'm suddenly obsessed with trading my 2008 X 2 door for an unlimited. i've done a good amount of work on my 2 door(which i love/lust). it'll be paid off in a little mor than a year. if i get a 4 door, i'll need to do tires, lift, exhaust, bumpers, etc. i LOVE MY LITTLE 2 door..
but help-----i keep looking at 4 doors and the idea of taking the family on a trip with my 3 year old in the back thinking....
i see some good deals on used jeeps in the recycle section..already built, not much to re-modify..
waaahhhhhhhhh

I love my 2 door and think as long as its just my wife and I and likely 1 child it will be enough room. People made it work for many years before 2007; I think things will have to be falling out the back before I step up to the 4 dour. Its also a great feeling to have a vehicle paid off, particuarly if your in the early stages of starting a family.
Either way you go you end up with a Wrangler, seems like a win-win.

Either way as long as you have a Jeep you will be happy. But I love the maneuverability and looks of my 2 door. You dont have to take 4 doors off and find places to store them and the top is (im guessing) easier to put up and down being shorter.
