Default Spare Tire LED Light Help

First post! 2008 JK. I just installed the MorRyde setup for my new 34.4' spare. Love it, but the extension is large and square. Thus, I ordered a spare tire LED brake light kit and they are of course built for the stock extension that is small and circular. It doesn't fit. Has anyone found one that fits the aftermarket one and has the plug and play connector for the JK?

Ahhh, you went with MorRyde! I also have the MorRyde system with all of the bells and whistles. I agree, the tire mount is weird. I wasn't a fan of the factory one and the MorRyde emulates that for safety. What I did is chop the whole housing down and basically recessed the light into the tire. I'll see if I can dig up a picture. Basically no big bulky light but it's still present and fits like factory.

And welcome to the forum from the land for VFL's.

Yea, did the full package. Love it. Trying to actually do the round led kit but think I can actually use your idea and just carve it out in a square myself.

I'm struggling to find what I was looking for, but this is what I had set up previously. It's just got one bolt holding it to the carrier. You may be able to use part of your ring there to do something similar. I take it the square of the tire carrier isn't fitting inside the hat of the light you've got?
