Default Special Thanks To AEV

Recently I purchased an AEV premium 3.5 inch lift. I set it aside until I received my wheels which were on back order. On installation day, I discovered I was missing 6 parts, and made a call on that same day to AEV. I made the call at 7am, mind you this was on a Saturday. They called back a couple of hours later. Long story short, they overnighted the parts to me on Monday, and on Tuesday afternoon I was started the install. Today, one day later, I'm almost done with the install. All I have left to do is install the front drop brackets, and reprogram the computer with AEVs pro cal tuner. They say that the steering wheel can be centered using the pro cal programmer also.

The kit will take every bit of the 10 hours AEV says on the first time install. The pictures on the printed instructions they provide suck, but they provide a PDF of the instructions on their web page that are great. The instructions them selves are very clear if you read them all, and not assume anything. Working on the floor with stands and a jack is a pain, but it was worth the effort. When it is complete and I can road test it, I will post pics, and a report. So far there is nothing I don't like about it. They seem to have thought of every issue that comes with lifting a jeep.

Ok, today I finished installing all components on the lift kit. Everything went in as it was meant to be. The wheels will be mounted and balanced tomorrow, and I will install them as soon as i get them back. I took the JK out for a short street test on its original wheels and tires, and I have to say that the JK performed as if it were not lifted. I stomped the brakes and there was no dive, or any other issues there. The steering was just awesome from one extreme to the other.

BTW, it was over $1600.00 for the kit, and I really believe it is worth it after being in other JKs with different lifts. Besides, what's another $1000.00 for doing it correctly and being happy, when you already dished out $40,000,00 out the door for the JK.

I'll try to get it completed tomorrow and post some pics then, Thanks.
