Squeaking/scraping noise

I'm suspecting brakes as well. Some brake pads even when new will rattle and squeak. The easiest way to determine if it's brake related is to observe if the noise either goes away or gets louder when you apply the brakes. If it does, then that puts you in the high probability of it being a brake related noise.
I had a set of EB Green Stuff brake pads in the rear. One side since the day I installed them would rattle and scrape every time I accelerated from a stop and every time I turned a corner and the noise would go away when I applied the brakes. I replaced those brake pads this past spring and I haven't heard that noise ever since.
