Default Squealing, Squeaking etc front brake. 2017 JKU sport

2017 with a brake problem, the drivers front is making all kinds of racket.

When you first start driving it’s fine. No noise or anything. After driving for a bit. The drivers front starts making noise. Has a light grinding like pads are rubbing when driving and squealing/ rubbing sound when stopping.

At first I just changed the pads because the rotors looked good. Still did it.
Then I replaced the rotor and pads (powerstop) , no change.
Yes I followed the “break in” for them.
replaced the caliper , no change
has MetalCloak lines that are a little over a year old (so I’d hope that isn’t the problem.)
they function great. Jeep drives straight and when braking it doesn’t pull. (Things that would tend to point to a sticking caliper))

hell I even swapped in some organic pads just to see and it didn’t change anything.

every thing is greased on the brakes and even put the anti squeal stuff on back of pads. .

I am at a loss. I’ve been doing my own brakes for 30 years and have never come across something like this.

any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to JKF. Looks like you have covered all the brake possibles.. the only thought I have is the Hub unit bearing. Worth checking, based on your description I would drive and get the noise started .. found this on youtube:

There might be more and better on Youtube too on the hub unit bearing. Had one go out and it made a grinding noise when on the lift for state inspection and the dealer found all the side to side play ..

thanks for the reply, I haven’t really thought about the unit bearing going bad. Normally my experience with bad front wheel bearings is the grinding when going around curves.

That’s definitely something to check tho. I’ll grab one of my indicators and see how much movement I may have tomorrow.

These are pictures I just took. Less than 100 miles on these new pads, rotor, and caliper. Everything I’ve ever read says pad “chipping” is a sight of excessive heat. I guess it could be slightly dragging , but it drives and brakes straight. 🤷‍♂️
