Default Src rocker guards--help!!!!!

Whats up Jeepers!? So i bought the SRC Side Armor rails from Smittybilt despite poor reviews. I thought they looked good and would do the trick for my wheeling. The first couple of days all was good but now they are making a cracking noise every time i come out of first, as if they are being twisted and bent!!! Its awful and loud, not what i had in mind after dropping $300+. Can anyone help? Did i overtighten? Not tight enough? The install intructions show them mounted metal to metal, should i but some sort of rubber washer? Any info is greatly appreciated, thanks guys and gals!!!

What foot pound did you torque the nut mounts, the factory torque spec is Body isolator mounting nut @ 40ft pounds i believe. double check to see if there tight.. since it is a body mounted item it can create sound if not tighten down correctly.
