Stall Bug
I am new to this site, was referred by another Jeep owner. Glad to see someone else who has experienced the "stall bug" it happened to me at ~1500mi on my new 2007 Jeep Unlimited 4dr. Was driving 40mph on a road and it "shutdown" for about 2sec, freaked me out and hasn't happened since. I leased this vehicle just to see if I liked it, I do love it and will buy a Rubicon Unlimited 4dr once lease is up. I also experienced, 2wks ago, while driving my front electric windows wouldn't open but rear ones did, once I stopped and turned the vehicle off then on they all worked fine. Beginning to feel like I am in the twilight zone.
Welcome to the forum. I see this is your first post. Sorry to hear that you have experienced the stall bug too. You probably noticed that there are several threads about it. If you haven't already, be sure to file a complaint with the NHTSA. If we get enough people to file complaints, they may open an investigation and get this issue resolved for us. You can file the complaint on www.safercar.gov or by calling 1-888-327-4236.
I've experienced this at slow speeds. It would usually happen after depressing the clutch the Jeep would just idle to a stall. I just restart it and it's fine. I've never experienced it on the highway. Also, one time when I started mine, the engine revved way up and held for a second. I wasn't real pleased about that one.

Thats (not really) funny. When I went to test drive the JK a few months ago, they had me drive the JK (6 speed) out of thier garage. When I went to start it, it did the same thing...revved waaaay up. It got the attention of EVERYONE in the dealership, including the owner. I blamed it on the paper floormat, but I knew very well that was not it. Quite embarassing.
