Question Stalled?

Just a quick question.. i hit a small puddle and the jeep stalled. answer?

Did it start right back up after it stalled?

You would have to go through a pretty large puddle for that. For it to hydrolock there would have to be a large amount for water sucked into the intake. Have you had any problems with it running since that happened?

Guess if you shot enough water straight up under the air intake at high speed. Getting anything wet enough to stop the engine is strange in just a little water though. I have a CAI and hit shallow standing water all the time, with no issues.

Define "small puddle".

I wouldn't play around with this situation.. I hydrolocked my Jeep in about a 12 inches of water, if that. Click image for larger version

I guess when you hit it you got water in the intake.. Not a good thing. Did you check your filter to see if it was wet afterwards?
