Wow, are you serious?! That's not right. How did they find out about your mods?

Here is how it went . When I bought the $2,000 half door I figured I would call them and let them know not wanting to lose out if the half doors got stolen. He asked me was there any other mods done as I would be able to get all covered it may increase my rates a littler so I figured sweet I let him know all and he said my rates would go up $20 a month for the extra coverage. Now 6 months later I get a letter dropping me. Be carefully what you tell the agent they don't know all the rules and are just trying to meet there quota. You may end up with a letter like me.

That doesn't surprise me. Insurance companies are crooked. I would tell them you purchased vehicle with mods already on it and fight it. I would try to contact someone higher up and dispute it. They should at least cover the vehicle if not the mods, but I have never heard of this.

I had ACIC, then went to Geico and got the same letter from the underwriter in AZ, then went to Progressive. See: https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-t...surance-96881/.

I’m not going to try to hide stuff from the Insurance Agents. If they don’t want my business then I’ll find someone who does, plus what happens if you get into an accident or your Jeep is stolen? The problem is when the sales people don’t know what’s actually covered by the company – only the underwriters do.

Apparently they have an issue with your "CD" system? lol Moron's don't even know how to spell CB.
I have Allstate and have had them underwrite in my Jeep with $20K in aftermarket stuff, up to total value of $60K. I also told them I wheel it, and they had no problems as long as I don't race the Jeep.

X-2 Looks like it's time to shop around for a new insurance carrier, for all your vehicles.

That's how the insurance companies have become the largest industry in the world...collect money and don't pay out. If you are a risk to pay out (tickets, accidents) they raise your rate or drop you. No surprise, but, as a Geico customer myself I'll have second thoughts when renewal time comes up.
