I'm not sure on the 11s but on prior models we have a problem with the steering shaft becoming cluncky due to a lack of grease. This will cause a lot of noise and "loose" feeling while driving. Also like it was mentioned before, up and down movement on the drag link is normal.
X2. Thats what it sounds like to me. Im having the same issue.

Its not the steering shaft ive had a guy from work look at it with me and there is definitley too much play in the linkage. It is not my swaybar links as they are tight and stock. I guess its the tierod and stabalizer. Not sure the correct term for those bars that link everything. It definitely looks like all those bushings are worn out

I am sure there are better ways, but;

If I want to check the front end, I will have someone turn the steering back and forth while I lay on my back in front of the Jeep watching the steering linkages. Be patient and study all the ball/socket fittings, and look at your steering gearbox shaft where the pitman arm hooks up. It is pretty easy to pick out the type of play that should not be there.

Then if still on the hunt, jack up each front wheel a little off the ground, check ball joint play by using a lever on the front tire up/down, and in/out. If it is bad you should see it.

15000 kilometers? Ain't no way any of the above stuff should be shot at those miles unless you like to get airborne. Do you have a warranty? If so take it in.

Thanks for the link croce that may be what im after it seems a pretty complete kit. Seems funny i would need such an upgrade with only 265/75/16 tires though? And yes to the recent post, i have had my mechanic friend look at everything while i rocked the steering and he agrees all my joints are worn out. And its loose enough that if i hit a bump it would all just rattle around under there.

With road use and mild offroad, I believe it is unusual (even for a Wrangler) to have those parts shot at such low mileage.

At 9000 miles, it boggles my mind that multiple steering parts would be so poor from the factory to wear out already.

Could there be something else going on with your rig or setup to stress those parts?

Nothing i can think of with my setup that could cause this except tires or rims i am stock other than that maybe the stock sport suspention just cant handle the tire and rim compared to the pizza cutter stock rubber and just beat my front end to crap? Perhaps an allignment was needed sometime after my tire switch? Maybe these could be some causes......hmmm?
