Just wondering if I hold the record yet of waiting for my jeep. I am not talking about people who ordered in July, but people that ordered when the jeep rubicon two doors were in production and being shipped. I ordered 10/27/06 and am now at 111 days.... just for the recorded I am KZM. My pop ordered 2 days before me and has been driving it for 2 weeks plus ( Red 2 door Rubi with all available options):confused: . Just wanted to see if there are any contenders out there or horror stories.... to make me feel like I am not the only one in this sucky situation.

 

Granted both of us ordered Unlimiteds, not 2drs, but Beel_MT ordered back on September 30th or so, and at last check still had not progressed past BG on that order (he has since ordered a second one with another dealer), and my order just moved to D status on Thursday (ordered October 9th).

I am pretty certain there are a few others as well, but not sure if any of those were 2 drs or not.

Both Beel and myself were Rubicons.

 

The demand for the 4 doors was way over expectation.... I guess for Jeep it is a good problem to have...but for us not so much I am glad I purchased a 2 door, but the more I see the 4's driving around expecially with the lifts I am starting to wish i went with one of them. All in all I am sure I will be happy with the two and will probably add a 4 to my collection in a year or so.... good luck with yours

 

I also ordered a 4-door Rubi, but as far as I can tell I hold the record for the longest wait so far on the 3 forums that I regularly visit. :sad:

I ordered in August and sat in BG until just the other day when I moved to BX.

 

I am not the current record holder, but I can guarantee that I will have to wait the longest of anyone here after actually placing the order. I might even have the Jeep paid off before I get it.

 

I believe Eddie aka. "WayOfLife" Is the undesputed record holder of "The wait".

He ordered his in July '06 and got it home on Jan 29, '07

 

cab76 just might catch him though.

Ordered a month (maybe month and a half....would need to know order dates of each to compare) later.

Last known, cab76 was still in BG.

Based on Don-A-Vee's postings, if still in BG now, will not see a movement until Feb 19th best case scenario (next scheduled allocation), but could quite possibly be into March....with the hard top supply problems (again).

Which would put his Jeep possibly getting to him in late March, possibly even out into April....which would surpass Eddie.

Not that Eddie would mind losing that "title" perhaps, and not that I am wishing it to be placed on cab76, but he has been waiting a long time, and in all likelihood is now looking at at least a comparable time wait to Eddie, if not longer :sad:

 

My estimated ship date right now is Sept 29th. It may end up being longer. I will win this title

 

Total 199 days of waiting so far..... At least the second order is moving a little faster.

 

Picked it up yesterday... Although I had to drive and hour and a half to get it... believe me I am not complaining. Because the dealership I ordered it through found my JK at a sister company, and I had a trade I had to go there to swap and drive away.... I got it just in time to drive back in a snow storm...all I can say it was the best drive of my life. It handled so well through the ice and snow... I cant even tell ya. To cold to start my mods or pull the hardtop to get the soft top out, but all is good. I hope all of you that are still waiting get yours soon. One thing I can say is.... the day you pick it up erases all the waiting instantly. You will be so please with your purchases....good luck
