I think you meant he stock tire carrier, and yes it should hold a 33 assuming you make sure it rests on the rubber stops behind the wheel making sure it doesn't bounce around.

I think its worth mentioning it also depends on the tire; a 33" GY Duratrac weighs about 50lbs, whereas a 33" Toyo MT is closer to 70lbs. Not to forget about the weight of the rim as well. (Im fairly new yet, and Im not aware of what the stock configuration weighs)

Yup, it holds my 35in. My tire is a heavy toyo open country M/T which is about 96 lbs and my rim about 30lbs. No problem at all, even in bumby back roads or trails at high speeds.

Where mine wouldnt fit my 35s it actually looked as though it was bowing my tailgate when I went off road. Day 3 and ended up just buy a whole new tire carrier and bumper. 33s will fit fine though I also ran a GY silent armor in a 31(actual mesure just about 32) before the 35s and they fit perfect.

awesome news! I'm very low on budget and can't afford new tire carrier and bumpers right now.
For the 33s, what lift is recommended. I probably dont want to go too high as that might be too weird with small 33s right?
I'm open to spacer lift to save some money too. Thanks.
