Default straps

So when I got my jk it came with two loop straps with snaps on the ends... anyone know what these are for??

Side note: I discovered I can turn off the honk when I lock the jk with the key fob...

Are you referring to the ones that are supposed to hold up the rear window? If so, they snap onto the top and you stretch them around the window in it's rolled up position. Some folks roll it with the retainer bar and some don't. Matter of preference I guess. Hope this helps.

If you roll it with the bar, you need to be careful that the snaps are tight. I almost lost both straps, the bar, and my window that way (on the freeway). Thankfully, I was looking in my rear view mirror at the time it fell, so I was able to stop, and fix it. Since then I don't roll the window with the bar.

The guy advised me to roll the window and bar to the inside of the Jeep. So far that's worked great for me, Although I have to say I've only put my rear windows on twice this season. Where I like'em is when I put the top down. If you put it down correctly, you can stretch'em up to the front rail windshield frame clamps and it keeps those from rattling.
