Yes, there has been far too many. From what I hear it has mostly been auto trannys that have overheated, spewed out tranny fluid onto the exhaust and started the fire. Thus Chrysler's INGENIOUS recall for an idiot light instead of a cooler....
I personally have witnessed this when mine boiled over half way up a mountain. Its a scary site to see the oil drip on the exhaust and burst into flames. I got lucky and the fire didn't stay lit. Biggest kick in the balls is that I went to the dealership to see if the recall was performed and was told it was when in fact it wasn't. Almost five grand later and nobody admitting any fault my jeep is still running. Hate to see another JK burn to the ground.
